Our Take on User Dashboards - Deep Dive

Why focus critical project resources on user dashboards? For starters, they provide constant at-the-fingertips ability to allow staff to track and change behaviors based on real data.  They facilitate bulk changes to behavior with advanced patient outreach options with only one or two clicks. And your clinicians and executives will thank you for helping them to, in real-time, catch up and stay ahead of the changing dynamics in their workplace.

User Dashboards can be key, particularly if:

  • An organization struggles with, but wants to be more data-driven

  • An organization is seeking to change behavior from one that tends to reactive to one that tends to proactive

  • An organization is on the cusp of being penalized for its performance in regulatory or payer programs

  • An organization's Residents or Attendings have a hard time keeping up with how they, or everyone, respectively, is doing

There are few, if any data cases, related to population health care delivery and value-based care that would not benefit from better incorporation into dashboards.  At this advanced stage in CHR technology, dashboards can be the tool that they were intended to be originally.  Data capabilities now allow your organization to aggregate data from within and outside of the CHR, then bring it back in (via dashboards) to allow clinicians to act on the completed data amalgamation.

Simply put, the future of information sharing and visibility capabilities is here. If your organization is not using dashboards as a critical component of your value-based care and/or population health models, you are effectively behind.  Downshift can help you catch up and get ahead.
